Once I have my asthma controlled again there are a lot of things that I'm itching to do.

1)Clean my dirty room. Being a person with "No Permanent Address" (NPA for short) left smelling like an attic. I refuse to let anyone do it for me because I want to remember were I put all my things.

2)Continue my job hunt.

Now, as a person with a mandatory bed rest order from the trusty doctor there's nothing much that I can do :(

My life as an official bum started already. I am a bum in the middle of a job hunt who is unfortunate to have her worse asthma attack ever! Good thing I had the attak AFTER my interview with a prospective employer and not during the interview itself. The attack will blow my chances even if its not rally my fault.

My doctor said that my lungs sounds so bad! "Maingay" daw... I ended up taking 7 different medicines. Two to take care of the effects of my acute attack (ie. inflamation, infection etc..) and four to control the asthma itself. >_< Believe me having allergic rhinitis and asthma hit you at once won't be a walk in the park. And as usual, I made Mercury Drug Store a few thousands richer.

*wait--gets her trusty calcu* In a year I think that would be 730 (half baths included) In a lifetime for a rough estimate 730*22 + 730(49/360) banker's rule na lang ah? ~_~'' bale more or less 16159.3611 baths/showers to date.
I shower because I want to feel fresh and clean! ^_^

3. Why not Maria? Why Pam?

I honestly don't know. Actually, nobody ever calls me by "Maria". However, they call me "Marian" at home. They added a "n" because they said when I was young (think toddler years) I looked like the famous actress during those days and the actress used "Marian" as a screen name. But at school, I was called "Pam" or "Pamela". I do not know how that happened but I remember feeling annoyed because I'm used to being called "Marian" but people kept on using "Pam". I felt like they're calling somebody else when they call me by that name. By grade 3 I've given up all hope in to making averyone realize that I like "Marian" better. That was looooong ago.. You know being a kid with a kid's brain I didn't like "Pam". But now that I'm older I find the name "Pamela" to be a very beautiful and alluring name. It's not because its my name. It's more of a realization that developes in you when you get older and become more mature.

4. If clothes were to be banned tomorrow, what would you wear?

Nothing if the purpose is to cover myself up. I'd probably do a Kate Winslet-titanic-getup of wearing a necklase with a big gem for a pendant. As a Kahlil Gibran said (I'll be quoting from memory), there is beauty in nakedness. What are clothes for but as a shield to unclean eyes? Remove the unclean and there will no longer be use for them.

It's been a long time since I last posted/emailed/wrote anything. I didn't know that the last post I made was my 2007 year end meme. Wow! And to think 2008 will end in 2 months time. Many things happened to me which made me grow as a person. Either way I'm back! YAhooo!!!

At least all the hard work paid off!!! CPA na ako!!!! ^____^

Last May, when I first took the board exam, Eddie told me that the CPA board exam is "just a license". Not that it isn'nt important, he just wants me to look beyond "the license that will qualify us as professional accountants". He wants me to look on the journey that I took to obtain it. "It is a journey where you will know yourself more, know the people who really matter and those who don't. Understand yourself more as well as others", he said. (The original message was way, way better but I lost it already so I wrote from memory). And, with that said, I realized that he was right.

When I first took the exam (got a conditional rating) I coudn't fully express how it felt like. Some of guys were puzzled why I don't seem myself when I called some of you up afterwards. I just couldn't find the words to fully express what I felt. From describing how it feels to answer an exam made by a "phd-ed" person who's grammar is worse than a 3rd grader to keeping ridiculous "rumors" and what not about the board get to you.. to the happiness and fulfillment of knowing that your friend, who passed, is so greatful to you since you're one of the reasons why she passed.

It took me some time to put my thoughts together so that I could adopt the right attitude. I remembered the saying/prayer, "Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the WISDOM to know the difference." I realized that, given that government inefficiencies won't enable the BOA to really come up with an exam trully reflective of the "should be" competencies of future professional accountants, at least I have an edge for not being too bookish and at least I know my grammar (though not perfect, damn I suck at spelling BIG TIME!!). I can spot an error if need be and change sentences into one that actually makes sense. And now I've proven to myself that you don't really need to solve mountains of exercises in order to pass the board (this belief strenthened upon my passing last October 20). Understanding and comprehension is the key rather than blind memory work and this will be my dogma forever(bato bato sa langit, ang tamaan wag magalit).

Lastly, I learned to value others more. This exam business made me lost time for the people who matter--my family and friends...YOU... Those who through think and thin, even if I wasn't able to let my presence felt for almost some time, still prayed for me and believed in me. For almost 2 years and a half of prioritizing studies and overlooking other things, I would like to say I'm sorry. Not that I'm saying that it was "entirely" wrong we can't run from our responsibilities as students. Its just that, now, I know what will trully make me happy, fulfilled and content with my life. This time, I want to reestablish my relationship with people. For the past years, you've always been ready to listen to me. This time, I'd like to be there for you.

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’ve never done before?
Lose my rational thinking in everyway possible. My emo side was at its peak which I really, regret. to think my dogma in life has always been to curtail emotions if need be. I've become too sensitive that I don't seem like "me". (The last sentence uttered by Doc)

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Yes, in a sense that I graduated didn'e I hehe. And yea I made some for this year to start the path towards enlightenment (naks!) and self reintegration (nosebleed na to!)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope. Well at least none that I know of... I haven't been updated with other people in a while.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, well not literally. They "died" in a sense that they didn't seem to be the same people I met and known.

5. What countries did you visit?
In my dreams I went to Japan, read tons of manga, watched tons of anime and spoke fluent Japanese.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Self-control and more focus.

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
September 20, 2007 and October 18, the truth revieled itself. But its all over and its all in the past. Now I'm happy that it happened and I learned a lot of things. I don't need anyone to make me happy and I don't need to change for anyone for that matter. I want it to be a take it or leave it thing from now on.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Um probably finishing my degree.

Managing my priorities.

Yes, the usual asthma.

Don't get me wrong its not that I'm starting to "hate" the Chhristmas break, lets just say it kinda started out wrong. I've done some stupid things and I feel like it had a ripple effect. Or maybe sabog lang talaga ako.

For one thing, I have not yet started ANY of thy supposed-to-be plans like cleaning my room, studying etc... (Ok maybe I can ditch studying for a while... the issue with Jun made me read 4 chapters of auditing and solve my Christmas problem set). *sighs* Next, I knew that my Uncle would leave for Bicol which would mean I'll be in charge with the kitchen BUT I totally FORGOT to make a grocery list. Grrr... the fridge ended up half empty. Kawawa naman ang mga kapatid ko... magsasawa sila sa adobo since di ko nasabi kay mama mga bibilhin. Arg... so stooopid of me. Another thing, I ended up being errand girl for my mom, which I don't really mind. Anyway I accompanied her to the mall. Nasa casa yung kotse at coding yung isa pa so we had to commute. On the way home, this gigling college girl pushed me as I was about to board the jeep. I ended up having this nasty cut by my elbow and bruises on both knees. Grr..

1)I woke up with a mind pounding headache for some unknown reason.

2) I left my watch this morning.

3) I lost my Cost Accounting book in school (its an international ed book which costs 600+ lang naman...) and the prof told me that she didn't see any book left in the classroom! ARG! My mom's gonna kill me!!

4)On my way home I nearly died. **** the jeepney driver. knowing that my foot has not yet even touched the ground... biglang pinaandar yung jeep... mutik na akong sumubsob sa kalsada. Buti na lang nagbreak yung kasunod na jeep JUST IN TIME.

AAARG!!

People come and people go... sometimes with warnings... sometimes without.. .as if they vanished into tin air...

Though I know in my mind that this is how it should be, I can't help but feel the loss.

Today is the 3rd week of school. As usuall wala pang prof... but its ok.. di din naman nasayang kasi nakuha ko yung mga classcards na di ko pa nakuha dati. So far isa na lang and hindi. Thank God the results were ok. As expected my final exam in Accounting 6 dragged my grades a lil bit down. But as a whole ^___^ weee!! Now I'm inspired to study again. Well the "ghost of the past" still hunts me pero wala na akong magagawa dun. I can only look forward now... Hopefully I'll be able to graduate next October(2007) and take the board exam in May (2008).

I accompanied my cousin to Robinsons and ended up watching "the Grudge 2" (the American version). It was different from the Japanese one... and as usual the Japanese version was waaaay more scary than the American one. So far di naman ako paranoid ngayon... unlike before @_@ I'll never forget the way I felt after watching "The Ring" and "The Exorcist" ~_~'' totally creepy...

Happy sembreak to all college ppl out there! For those in highschool, your sem break would probably start next week. And for those people who are working... sorry.. no semestral break for you guys! Well, you can look out for the Ramadan and Halloween anyways :)

I'm currently in my first week of vacation and I'd have to say I welcome my being a bum again! hehe.. nothing to read... no requirements to pass... and certainly no annoying profs!! But the downside is... no allowance... no load... no chance to pretty much get out... It coulbe have been better if I have a landline. I'd still be able to talk to my friends over the phone or chat online. You see... the phone's pretty much dead since Milenyo.... YES... ITS BEEN THAT LONG.

I don't know what's keeping the people of PLDT from fixing it. I mean its been WEEKS already. I'm just wondering... maybe the power outage was much more sensationalized than phone disconnection due to uprooted telephone poles and cut phone wires... so those people in pldt besame more lax. Because of this I'm using my cell for EVERYTHING. I thought using up 30 pesos of load a day was too much... but how about 30 bucks for 5 minutes? arg! And since its vacation... no allawance=no load=useless cell phone... -_-''

So guys... please forgive me for not being in touch too much... T_T I wish I could talk to you guys more.

On another note... I've been reading ebooks again! ehehe ^_^ I've downloaded 11 volumes of "A series of Unfortunate events" (ASUE)! Well, i know its seems a bit late for me... I'm not really much into it (well not like my addiction to harry potter) but I'm really curious about how it will end. Correct me if I'm wrong but its supposed to end in volume 12? I'm just not so sure.

Well I know its a contraband copy... well a pirate to be exact... I came across it by accident. I was curious about the plot you see. I remember Joie collecting them, but I've never read a single book. So I researched about the plot. To my surprise not only did I find all 11 books but I also found the whole Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles, Artemis Fowl series, Harry potterand some Darren Shan Titles. I found this a long time ago, I just found the time to read them now. I've finished all 11 ASUE books, Queen of the Damned and the Tale of the Body Thief. Hehe... I'm just surprised, some people are saying that Dan Brown's books are heretic nut if you ask me, Anne Rice's books is more heretic that Brown's. Especially if you read Memnoch the Devil (Book 5 of the Vampire Chronicles), I've only read half of it.

I've finished watching "It Started with a Kiss"!! ^_^ Thanks Ralph for the dvd! Its a cute Taiwanese Drama based on a manga. I think the manga was entitled Itazura sumthing... (Itazura no kiss?? I forgot the real title...) I think there's a J Dorama version too.. I cried so many times while watching... maybe because I can relate? HAHA! i'm forever the tearjerker! I didn't really like the last episode... its like a filler episode lang... well the last episode was funny but it just as if it already ended during the 29th episode :P

nakakainis, I just had a wonderful morning which ended with a very enjoyable and memorable lunch date with Cheska, Chelle, Risha and Lex, tapos may biglang paltos pagdating ng hapon! >_<

I had an exam in accounting 7. The direction was for us to put our final answers on the space provided in the answer sheet. So, when I finished my computations, i transfered my answers in ballpen. Eh pagkatapos nun, I noticed that i overlooked 1 important info which would affect my answers in 5 items. So i used liquid eraser to change them... tapos naalala ko nga pala, no erasure dapat. I wanted to ask for a new answer sheet kaya lang umalis si ma'am. So... ayun, I waited for her. Ayoko namang mamali ako just because of using liquid eraser kahit tama sagot ko.

Tapos, pagdating nya, nung humingi na ako ng bagong answer sheet, tinanong nya kung bakit humihingi ako ng panibago. Sabi ko, kasi gumamit ako ng liquid eraser nung narealize ko na may nakalimutan akong isama sa computations. Sabi niya, "ah, dnt worry ok lang yan... ika nga eh, pag may quiz at may wala yung teacher maraming himalang nangyayari, kaya sige ok lang yan"

badtrip... Is it just me or did she just imply that I cheated? That the reason that I changed my answers was because I copied someone else's answer? grr... >_<

I just got back a couple of hours ago from antipolo. We had a nice get-together last night with my friends at eastwood. There's nothing like unwinding and having your close friends listen to you and you listen to them. Guys, thank you, I feel so much better! Too bad, Chelle had to leave abruptly... but at least ok naman sila.

Last night was also our night out before Cheska leaves for Japan. Ah basta Ches! Just do your best!! Andto lang kami! Anyway, the next day (which is... this morning...) We heard mass near Rish's subdivision (I forgot the name of the place). During communion time, Rish's sister fainted. @_@ grabeh... natakot ako... bigla kong naisip yung sarili kong kapatid. We took her to the nearest hospital. Buti na lang, ok naman siya... she needs lotsa rest. I do hope she'll feel better tom...

And for Risha... grabeh I know na jinojoke ko na para ka ng mommy, but I'm so proud of you kanina! Di ka nagpanic. Kung ako siguro yun, hinimatay na rin ako pagkatapos. *hugs* I wish I can be as strong as you.

haha, its just frustrating and funny to think that it is true that everything goes in pairs. There's a positive charge and a negative charge... matter and antimatter. All of these are essential to maintain equilibrium.

*sigh* sometimes its so scary to be happy... i mean people can't just be TOO happy... knowing that it's partner is just around the corner and that is sadness...

pretty depressing huh? Its just a thought... why can't there be an "in between"... you know, something "just right"
